Frequently Asked Questions

  • The initial consultation is 60 minutes, with follow-up appointments lasting 45 minutes.
    The standard fee is $90 per session.

  • You don’t need a referral to book an appointment.


    However, if you’d like to access Medicare rebates through an EPC (Enhanced Primary Care) referral, you’ll need to get a referral from your GP.

  • An EPC referral allows you to access subsidised appointments with allied health professionals for the management of chronic conditions.
    You’re eligible for up to 5 subsidised sessions per calendar year, which can be shared between different allied health providers. These referrals help cover part of your session cost.

  • Yes — we bulk bill EPC appointments for children under 18 and for pension card holders (on request).
    Please note: bulk billed sessions are 30-minute appointments only.

  • Yes, home visits are available on Wednesdays, at a rate of $120 (including travel costs).

  • We operate in Nimbin across two locations:

    • Mondays & Thursdays at the Community Gym (Nimbin Showgrounds)

    • Tuesdays at the Nimbin Medical Centre

  • At Rise Rehabilitation, we accept a range of referral types and funding options to help make accessing our services as smooth as possible. These include:

    • NDIS (Self-managed and Plan-managed)

    • DVA Referrals (Department of Veterans' Affairs)

    • Medicare EPC Referrals (Enhanced Primary Care plans)

    • WorkCover / Workers Compensation

    • Private Health Insurance
